Our Staff

Lindsay Hansen, Director

Lindsay Hansen oversees the orientation and transition efforts for the campus. Originally from Lake Placid, NY, Lindsay earned a BA from Hamilton College and an MEd in higher education and student affairs from the University of South Carolina. Prior to joining the UT family, Lindsay held several roles at Cornell University, most recently Director of Residential and New Student Programs, and preceding that, Director of Orientation Programs. She also worked in residence life and student activities at Wofford College.


Eddie Higginbotham, IV

Eddie Higginbotham IV, Associate Director

Eddie Higginbotham IV oversees major programming and supports the director in office operations and strategic planning. He manages orientation logistics and the support of special populations. He earned his BS at Northwestern State University of Louisiana and MS in higher education from Florida State University. Before coming to UT, he was the assistant director for leadership and new student engagement at the University of Georgia. He has also worked at Florida State University.

Lindsey Snow

Lindsey Snow, Coordinator

Lindsey Snow coordinates the selection, training, and supervision of the orientation leader team. Originally from Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, she has a BS in marketing from the University of Florida. She has an MS in higher education and student affairs from Indiana University, where she also worked with career services and a leadership program and served on the advisory board for Theta Phi Alpha Fraternity before coming to Knoxville in May 2018.

Carla White, Administrative Specialist

 


Terri Williams, Accounting Specialist

Terri Williams is responsible for budgeting, accounting, and other administrative support needs. She has 20 years of service at UT and is working toward a BS in accounting.

Miranda Rutan, Graduate Teaching Assistant

First-year graduate teaching assistant Miranda Rutan works with orientation, student leaders, and program planning. She has a BFA in Graphic Design and BSBA in Marketing from the University of Tennessee at Martin and is working toward an MS in college student personnel with plans to graduate in 2021.
