Orientation Leader Applications

Are you ready to make your mark on Rocky Top? New Student Orientation (NSO) is looking for a group of dedicated undergraduate students to serve as Orientation Leaders (OLs). Orientation Leaders use their Volunteer Spirit and Big Orange pride to welcome New Vols and their family members to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Orientation Leaders have the opportunity to serve as a resource, peer educator, and role model to both first-year and transfer students, families, and guests as they transition to UT.

Orientation Leaders participate in a weekly paid leadership training throughout the Spring 2022 semester. Training focuses on topics such as team building, public speaking, communication and interpersonal skills, problem-solving, diversity and inclusion, conflict management, and building confidence as a leader while at the University of Tennessee. OLs will gain hands-on experience while working as a team to collaborate with various partners to create a positive and informative atmosphere for all new Vols!

The Orientation Leader team strives to resemble the intellectual, cultural, and social diversity of our dynamic university. OLs not only represent themselves but also their fellow Orientation Leaders and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in a positive, enthusiastic matter.
