Preparing for Orientation

Orientation for Volunteer Bridge students is a two-day program and includes an overnight stay on campus. Families and guests are welcome to attend and discover ways to support their student during their time at UT.

More details about the orientation schedule will be shared closer to the registration date. Students, family members, and guests can anticipate being on-campus starting around 7 a.m. on the first day of orientation and leaving campus around 5 p.m. on the second day.

Housing & Accommodations

Students

Overnight accommodations for students in Fred Brown Residence Hall are included in the orientation fee. Bring a pillow, blanket, washcloth, towel, bedsheets (full-size bed) and toiletry items.

If you plan to arrive the day before your session begins, you will be responsible for the cost associated with staying the additional night. (See “Early Arrival” below.)

Families & Guests

Family members and guests who have reserved overnight accommodations on campus (within the orientation registration) should bring a pillow, blanket, washcloth, towel, full-size bed sheets, and toiletry items. Student rooms are on a different floor, so pack separately.

Overnight accommodations for family members and guests are not included in the orientation program fee. See the dates and cost page for details.
